Wow! What a great weekend in the north of Montreal. The Val-Saint-Côme ski resort offered a wonderful event under the lights and lots of spectators. I had the chance to participate with my family and friends watching. My goal for the weekend was to have fun and enjoy the moment, which paid off.
Following a 4th place in qualification, I participated in my first singles World Cup final. I was accompanied with my compatriots Elliot and Louis-David from Mont-Saint-Anne, as well as Mikael Kingsbury. Very proud of this accomplishment with my friends. I finished 12th in the final. During the duels on Saturday, all three of us from Mont-Saint-Anne participated again in the final. I faced the Swedish Olympic Champion Walter Wallberg in the final, who then won the duels event. I finished 11th.
The next stop on tour is Deer Valley. An event that is considered the SuperBowl of freestyle skiing. I can't wait to live this experience.
