Back home after the start to the season. Two top 10 finishes and three finals out of four events; results that put me 11th overall.
The season began in Finland on the famous "Battery" slope in Ruka. A slight loss of control in qualifying put me in the mood for the World Cup circuit, where the level has clearly increased significantly since last year. I quickly recovered the following week in Sweden, where I finished 8th in the singles. The duals were canceled due to weather conditions. The World Cup in Alpe d'Huez was also canceled due to lack of snow. We stayed in Sweden to train before heading to Georgia.
I continued my momentum in singles in Bakuriani with another top 10. In duals, I faced the previous day's winner, Frenchman Ben Cavet, in the quarterfinals, which ended my weekend in Georgia. It's a good start to the season despite everything, and I feel very good on my skis. Now it's time to rest and enjoy the holidays with my loved ones and fine-tuning my skiing before the next block of competitions, which will begin in Waterville, New Hampshire.
